Wide screen displays
available in most projector systems and flat panels take advantage of
wide screen recording such as letter-box laser disk. These units have a
16:9 aspect ratio (compared to normal TV's 4:3 ratio) that closely
matches the true shape of the original big screen movie. What you think
you loose in height you actually gain by seeing the entire width. In
order to play on a standard 4:3 TV screen a theatrical movie image must
be squeezed from the sides.

What type of monitor should you purchase? My answer is
always the same. "Based on your families individual
theater environment, your families lifestyle and the types of
images most often being viewed. These items should play a
major role in selecting the audio solution that's right for your
family." Budget is also a large determining
factor. Is your theater a dedicated home theater? Or is it a
family room or game room residence with an open floor plan, with
ton's of ambient light from the outdoors?With out discussing
your families needs and studying the environment at which the
equipment will be placed, my opinion means very little if any.
That is why we suggest personal interviews and on site
inspections.

Projection screens offer the largest
screen presence (ranging from 6' to 20' diagonally), with a wider
acceptable viewing angle compared to rear projections TV's as well as
greater installation options. Front projection screens can be mounted
on the ceiling or concealed inside of it. It can be mounted on the wall
