What is THX? THX is a process, it is a set of standards, it's
construction standards and equipment standards that are designed to
create a audio visual experience in a home theater that matches what the
director originally intended. Since most home theaters are multi
purpose rooms like family rooms, dens, game rooms the principles and
standards of THX can be applied to better enhance the over all audio
visual experience. Only a true dedicated theater will ever receive
the status of being a certified THX home theater. But THX
certified equipment and THX standards can make a major difference in the
over all performance and enjoyment that you receive of your new home

Designing a home theater is a very individualized experience. A
quality custom theater takes a commitment from both the family and the
designer. This includes asking lifestyle questions like (Do you
entertain?) (What type of movies will you be watching?) How often will
you be using the theater?) In order to properly achieve the goals
intended by the you, we have to be on the same page. |

The basic home theater is
not something that requires a dedicated room or tens of thousands of
dollars in renovations. Often we will design a system centered around a
family room or den, using the existing space with subtle changes.
Installing flush mounted ceiling or wall speakers and installing a flat
screen or plasma above the fireplace. We can also design and fabricate a
custom entertainment cabinet to house your new audio surround sound
system. You want a clutter free design? Imagine keeping the doors
closed and still having complete control of your new system using a
compact remote sensor a repeater and flashers to relay the signal
