package theater in a box mentality. Yes it is true it will cost
more. It will definitely sound better and ultimately last longer.

system will sound like junk. Audio rule of funds
distribution - design your budget where 50% of your audio
budget is allocated for the purchase of the highest quality speakers you
can afford without breaking the 50% budget.
Divide the remaining 50% balance between your audio components.

Home Theater audio
electronics selections can be very confusing. Does your theatre
need 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1? Do you plan on expanding the use of your
receiver to deliver multi zone audio thru out your home and outside?
Do you need a single component surround sound tuner or does your system
need individual components a tuner, pre amp, maybe a five channel amp

Let's not forget
the powered sub woofer. THX originally specified a theater design
using two sub woofers one front and one rear.
Today THX has modified their
specifications for home theater design to include four smaller sub
woofers placed centrally along each wall and
daisy chained together to provide even distribution
for the low frequency audio sound waves that are produced by powered subwoofers. |
